The Animated Series' Creator Has Seen Your Second Season Predictions — And She Has Positive Updates

The much-anticipated Season 2 of the musical adult cartoon Hazbin Hotel arrives on the streaming platform this week, and audience theories has been intense.

Season 1 introduces a diverse group of personalities residing in Hell and Heaven, sets them at odds with songs detailing their conflicts, and establishes heated competitions and angsty, affectionate connections that fuel fan obsession.

The community's expectations for season 2 vary widely, but certain themes recur frequently: Could a fan-favorite character escape his tormentor? Might we learn more about the mysterious "deal" constraining Alastor the Radio Demon? Will [favorite character] and [other character] finally get together?

"Naturally, I don't produce the show with audience demands specifically in mind," the creator stated earlier this year. "But I feel like me being a devotee of the series implies there's a lot of it just naturally. I also am eager for these things, and I hope some of these things to happen, and clearly some of these things are meant to happen in the show!"

The creator says her long-term vision is for a five-season run of Hazbin Hotel. Future installments have received approval by Prime Video and A24, which finance the series.

That might mean viewers have to wait years for some of the biggest payoffs — but they could be shocked at how quickly the new season progresses, and how many of what they're waiting for happens now.

"I feel like people are going to get a lot out of it," she adds. "We get some firsts. I think we get some incredible reveals, some fascinating origin tales, and even just simple things, [like] I hope this character gets a song. […] We're going to hear much more singing from the characters we didn't get to hear before."

She's certainly aware of the guesses and hopes about the upcoming season — particularly in the form of fan bingo cards.

"I've seen a couple people create a prediction grid about the new season," she says. "Obviously I won't share it, but I've already completed a few items, and nearly every one of them have almost a bingo. I thought, Oh, if you put this [event] in this spot, it would be a bingo. So that leads me to believe we do a lot [of what fans are waiting for in this season], because I was like, Oh, there's multiple potential bingos on this card. So that makes me happy."

Hazbin Hotel the second season premieres on Prime Video on October 29.
